This project releases the major key figures regarding public financing in the Netherlands prior to 1795. Quantitative data have been made avaible for the provinces Overijssel, Drenthe, Groningen, Holland, Utrecht, Friesland and Zeeland.

Dutch-Asiatic Shipping
Between 1595 and 1795 the Dutch East India Company (VOC) and its predecessors before 1602 equipped more than 4,700 ships to sail from the shores of the Netherlands bound for Asia. More than 3,400 ships made the return voyage home. The reference work Dutch-Asiatic Shipping has classified these voyages on which Dutch trade between Europe and Asia was founded in a systematic survey.

The correspondance of William of Orange
This project aims to present a complete survey of all the surviving correspondence associated with William of Orange (1533-1584). Research for this project was carried out in almost 200 archives and libraries in the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, England, France, Italy, Austria, Poland, Spain, Vatican City, Sweden and Switzerland. So far, 12,609 documents have been found and the oldest letter dates from 1549.
